In the morning of August 4, 2026, our daughter, Jessica, went for a hike in the mountains of north Phoenix.  When she didn’t return as planned, authorities were called.  After an exhaustive search of the area by helicopter, drone, police, firefighters and hundreds of friends, neighbors and complete strangers that dropped what they were doing to join in the search, she was found right before nightfall.  To our everlasting regret, she had suffered from a fall that took her life.

You can read more details about her life in About Jessica and the genesis of this scholarship in the History.  She was a wife and mother of four boys as well as a nurse.  She loved her family and her job, working in the In-Patient Rehabilitation Center of the Asante Rogue Valley Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon where she connected on a personal level with those she served.  She cared about people and met them where they were.

The Jessica Adams Lindstrom Legacy in Healthcare Award is a family‑led organization supported entirely by private donations from people like you who want to help others and make a difference.
